Description

The Rural Municipality of Woodlands is requesting Proposals for waste and recycling collection and hauling services for the Local Urban District of Warren (LUD), Twin Lakes Beach and The Rural Municipality of Woodlands Transfer Station. The Rural Municipality of Woodlands is seeking a service provider who will be proactive in helping the Rural Municipality of Woodlands manage recyclables and waste in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. The Rural Municipality of Woodlands wishes to increase the diversion of materials currently going into the landfill. It is intended that the service provider will be the driving force behind the growth of recycling activity and increased diversion rates, working in partnership with the Rural Municipality of Woodlands staff, Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba (MMSM) and area residents. In 2023, the Rural Municipality of Woodlands recycled 76 metric tonnes of comingled recycling and generated 1,126 metric tonnes of waste (Local Urban District of Warren being 210 tonnes and the Transfer Station 916 tonnes).
