Summary:
MenschForce LLC is seeking a Senior IoT Developer for the EnergyKarma project, powered by Sonicorn. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement IoT solutions within the EnergyKarma Digital Trading Platform, utilizing advanced IoT protocols, edge computing, and cloud technologies to enhance system security, data collection, and energy trading processes.Responsibilities:

• System Design:
  • Design and develop IoT hardware and software solutions that meet project specifications.
  • Build robust IoT architectures that integrate with cloud platforms and enterprise systems.
• Development:
  • Write and optimize code for IoT devices, gateways, and cloud communication.
  • Ensure seamless IoT device functionality and integration with data management systems.
• Integration:
  • Integrate IoT devices with existing platforms to enable real-time data transfer and device interoperability.
• Security:
  • Implement security protocols to safeguard IoT systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
• Data Management:
  • Process and analyze data from IoT devices to provide actionable insights.
• Troubleshooting:
  • Identify and resolve issues within IoT systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaboration:
  • Work with product managers, architects, and other developers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for IoT systems and workflows, including security measures and architecture blueprints.

Specific Duties (aligned with EnergyKarma project):

• IoT System Architecture:
  • Develop conceptual and logical IoT system architectures integrated with cloud platforms.
  • Create Enterprise Architecture blueprints, focusing on cloud integration and server stack alignment.
• Service-Oriented and Microservices Architecture:
  • Develop strategies for SOA, Microservices, AI, and Blockchain within IoT solutions.
• Network and Infrastructure Alignment:
  • Align IoT network components with target-state infrastructure to optimize scalability and security.
• Technical Ecosystem Development:
  • Establish a digital transformation blueprint for IoT infrastructure, incorporating advanced technologies.
• Quality Assurance and Testing:
  • Review test plans, collaborate with QA teams, and ensure IoT systems pass testing protocols.
• Collaboration on Design Solutions:
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement appropriate IoT design solutions.

Technologies and Tools:

• IoT Communication Protocols: MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, LoRaWAN
• Cloud Platforms: AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT
• Edge Computing: For real-time processing and low-latency data handling
• Security Protocols: To ensure IoT device and network protection
• Data Analytics and Visualization Tools: Such as Power BI, Tableau, or custom solutions
• Development Methodologies: Agile, Scrum for team collaboration and project tracking

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in IoT development, with a focus on architecture and system integration.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP), edge computing, and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, C, C++, and JavaScript for IoT development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for IoT integrations.
  • Knowledge of security protocols to protect IoT devices and data.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective collaboration and communication across multidisciplinary teams.
